A major trade summit which offers Greater Birmingham businesses the chance to learn about new markets and grow their network internationally is being hosted by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

The Global Trade Conference is taking place on 15 September at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

The half-day conference will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions focusing on a range of topics such as the effects of the pandemic one year on, international travel, business resilience and an in-depth analysis of the global economy.

The conference has taken place virtually over the past two years due to Covid-19.

Stefanie Bowes (pictured), international business manager at the GBCC, said: "We 're absolutely delighted to finally host the global trade conference again in person.

“We already have some very interesting and informative session speakers lined up - with more to follow.

This will be a very focused event, dedicated to updating businesses on the current trade situation, challenges faced and particularly where businesses need support, learning from others from their experiences in international markets.

“This is also an opportunity to understand the business legacy of the Commonwealth Games and meet other likeminded companies who will be wanting to hear more about trading with other countries. ”

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the event.
