Chamber awards gain more business backing

Inspired Energy and Birmingham City Council are backing Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's (GBCC) flagship annual awards as headline sponsors and partners.

This year 's GBCC awards will be hosted as an online celebration on Tuesday 27 July, recognising the remarkable achievements of businesses across Greater Birmingham despite the challenges faced in the last year.

Inspired Energy is joining Birmingham City University (BCU) as headline sponsors of this year 's hugely popular awards.

James Sampson, partnerships director for Inspired Energy, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be supporting this year 's GBCC Annual Awards Celebration Evening, to recognise all the fabulous businesses and people within the region.

“Being headline sponsors of the event is a great opportunity and pleasure for us. We cannot wait to see who all the winners will be and hope everyone has a great evening. A big good luck to all the nominees! ”

Birmingham City Council are also supporting the awards as headline partners.

“Throughout the pandemic we've worked together to support Birmingham's business community and we will continue to do so as we move into the recovery and beyond."

Thirteen awards are up for grabs during the event, including new categories for both hospitality and retail sectors, as well as a special acknowledgment for companies showing excellence in sustainability.
