Chamber board welcomed at Lichfield venue
The Boat Inn - the Michelin-guide listed restaurant in Lichfield - hosted the latest Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce board meeting as part of the venue's wider campaign of engagement with the business community.
Board members and representatives from various GBCC departments, including chief executive Henrietta Brealey and chairman Greg Lawson met to discuss ongoing matters relating to the GBCC group, of which the Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce is part.
Chef-owner Liam Dillon and his team were on hand to provide breakfast and gave board members a tour of the kitchen and the recently renovated outside seating area.
They also discussed their focus on sustainability and locally-sourced ingredients.
As well as producing its own herbs and vegetables, The Boat Inn has a water treatment facility, chickens, bee hives, an orchard, fish and pigs all on site.
Henrietta Brealey said: “We like to take our board meetings out and about across Greater Birmingham, meeting Chamber members and keeping us focused on our mission to connect, support and grow local businesses.
“Liam and the team have created something special at The Boat - finest quality food and service with an incredible focus on sustainability and locally-sourced ingredients.”
