Chamber boss among speakers at women in tech event

Chamber chief executive Henrietta Brealey is among the speakers at Intercity Technology 's first Women in Technology event this week.

Intercity 's Women in Tech Networking Group are working to address the gender imbalance in the technology sector.

One of the group 's ideas was to create a series of women in leadership events, introducing the members ' networks to inspire and empower current and future female leaders.

The first event is via GotoWebinar on Friday 11 June (9.30am to 11am).

Ms Brealey (pictured) will be speaking about her career journey so far, what drives her and how she got to her new position as CEO. She will discuss what inspires her and her desire to inspire other women in business.

Stephanie Burras CBE will be speaking about the doors that have opened in her own career, as well as the work that she does through Ahead Partnership, working with businesses to open the doors of opportunity to young people, and in particular to young women to get into tech.

Sarah Walker (CISM) will be speaking about authentic female leadership and building the self-confidence to develop your own authentic and unique brand and being able to bring your whole self to work.
