Chamber campaign to be 'fantastic celebration' of business
A virtual campaign is set to be a “fantastic celebration ” of the resilience of business communities across Greater Birmingham.
Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) has announced that it will be a hosting a five-week campaign celebrating the business communities that are a part of the Chamber group.
The Festival of Business campaign is being held in lieu of in-person exhibitions being unable to be hosted by the Chamber due to coronavirus restrictions.
As part of the festival, members of the Chambers will be encouraged to attend a number of webinars and virtual networking events being hosted as part of the campaign.
Events will focus on showcasing the benefits of doing business with members of the Chambers and key issues facing member businesses.
The first week of the campaign, starting from 1 June, will focus on Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth Chambers.
Solihull Chamber will be the focus of the second week of the campaign, Burton and Chase Chambers in the third week and Greater Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber and Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber will be the focus of the fourth week of the campaign.
During that week, the Chamber will host its annual Global Trade Conference, taking place on 23 June.
Details of the conference will be revealed next week.
The final week of the campaign will focus on Birmingham Chamber.
Future Faces Chamber and the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce will host a number of fringe events during the campaign.
Lillian Elekan, head of membership at Greater Birmingham Chambers, said: “At this time of year, we are usually getting ready to host a number of business expos across our various divisions, such as the Summer Expo in Solihull and the Royal Business Fair in Sutton Coldfield.
"As a result of the on-going Covid-19 restrictions, we are unable to run these events in physical format in 2021, but we are really excited to launch our Festival of Business series instead.
“The Festival of Business will see a series of divisional events taking place throughout June 2021, and will give delegates a great insight into our various regions and doing business in those regions.
"Networking events throughout the month will encourage relationship building across the divisions and there will be talks from key local stakeholders and businesses of each division as well.
“Our aim is for The Festival of Business to be a fantastic celebration of the resilience of the business communities in each of our Chamber 's regions. We will be shining a light on some amazing local businesses, and we 'll discuss what 's to come in each region. And with so many events across the month, there will be something in there for everyone, so don 't miss it! ”
