Chamber committee to share expertise in 'roundtable '

Sutton Coldfield Chamber members can pick up expert advice in areas such as PR, marketing and finance in a roundtable event hosted by members of the committee.

Delegates will be placed into three groups who will then spend time in breakout rooms for discussions on different topics.

The event takes place on Wednesday (27 January).

In Room One, vice-presidents Naeem Arif (NA Consulting) and Clare Whalley (Meta4) will share business advice and coaching insights.

Joanna Drinkwater of Grant McKnight and David Graham from Apprise Legal Services are leading the discussion around finance and planning in Room Two.

The topic in Room Three will be PR and marketing, hosted by media and communications expert Gary Phelps and Sutton Chamber president Phil Arkinstall (Ark Media).

Clare Whalley (pictured) said: “As a committee, we are keen to offer our help and advice to fellow members during these difficult times.

“Our members ' survey which was sent out before Christmas highlighted areas that businesses in were looking for guidance on and this included PR, marketing, business process and finance.

“Calling on the expertise of our executive committee members, all with many years experience of doing business in Sutton, will hopefully give those delegates joining us on Thursday several key lessons, pieces of advice or case studies to help their business cope in the current climate. ”

Joanna Drinkwater added: “The format of the event, where delegates will speak to three rooms of two different experts with a Q+A and discussion, plans to provide an open forum for members and non-members to share their challenges but also discuss how they have already or plan to improve in areas of their business as we move through 2021.

“If successful, the Sutton Chamber plans to continue to offer business 'advice ' roundtables on further subjects over the course of the coming months. ”
