Runners aiming to raise vital funds for charity have been reminded that registration for this year 's 40th Royal Sutton Fun Run closes at 11pm on Easter Monday.

Places can be secured by registering online via the event web site.

Sutton Coldfield Chamber members have been registering to guarantee their places and raise money in support of UK Sepsis Trust.

President Philip Arkinstall, vice-president Naeem Arif, divisional director Chris Brewerton and committee member Kate Curry have registered as part of the Sutton Chamber team with member companies including Ansons Solicitors, Bishop Vesey Grammar School, Cookes Furniture, RotoSpa and Cancer Support Centre all having registered team entries of varying sizes.

Chris Brewerton said: “It 's great to see individuals and Chamber member companies supporting the town 's largest annual fund-raising event and at the same time helping to support our chosen charity UK Sepsis Trust.

“The Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be officially associated with the town 's largest and longest running annual community fund-raising event as a Supporting Sponsor. ”

Fun Run event director Tracey Spare said: “The Chamber and its members are playing an increasingly important role in the town 's recovery from Covid restrictions and the challenges now being faced from significant price increases across the board.

“It 's great to see so many Chamber members having registered to participate in this year 's milestone 40th Royal Sutton Fun Run.

“With the demise of the local newspaper network in recent years, our partnership with the Sutton Chamber has given us a perfect platform to communicate directly with local businesses to encourage participation and as a direct result increase the money raised for charities and voluntary organisations. ”

Lyndon Rakowsi of RotoSpa said: “We are again delighted to be part of this year's event and the fantastic work it accomplishes.

“This year will be our fourth time, and our team is preparing well, looking forward to pushing one of our Hot Tubs around the course, raising money for local children's charities and having lots of fun.

“Our showroom in Boldmere Road will be open on the day, and the RotoSpa team will be on hand to welcome all visitors to come and say hello and enjoy the day with us. ”

Online registration remains live via the new Fun Run website with registration closing at 11pm on Easter Monday, 10 April. The event will be staged at 11am, Sunday 4 June, at the end of spring half term.
