Firms in the beauty, processed agrifood and wellness sectors that want to diversify their supply chains are invited to attend a business-to-business (B2B) event in Birmingham on Thursday, 26 February - with a visiting delegation of Caribbean suppliers.

The event will bring together companies from Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Belize, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana and Dominica.

The International Trade Centre, working with the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, is bringing 18 women-led Caribbean supplier businesses to the UK from 23 to 27 February.

The trade mission aims to connect Caribbean women-led suppliers of beauty products, food products and artisanal woodcraft companies with importers, distributors and buyers in the UK.

The Caribbean delegation will visit the Birmingham Wholesale Market and engage in B2B meetings with Birmingham businesses, as part of their visit.

For Birmingham-based businesses, this trade mission offers an in-person opportunity to discover innovative Caribbean products – from sea moss-infused clean beauty serums to Belizean sustainable chocolate and premium Jamaican castor oil.

Jayne Hume, Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s head of International Divisions, said: “This visit is about creating meaningful, commercial connections that benefit both sides.

“Birmingham has a strong appetite for innovative, high-quality products, and the Caribbean delegation brings exactly that, alongside compelling stories around sustainability, women-led enterprise and ethical supply chains.

“For our businesses, this is a valuable opportunity to meet suppliers face-to-face, explore new partnerships and diversify their sourcing in a way that supports inclusive growth.

“We’re proud to be working with the International Trade Centre to bring this delegation to Birmingham and to showcase the city as a serious gateway for global trade.”
