Chamber holds first Retro Games
Solihull Chamber of Commerce held their first ever Solihull Chamber Retro Games yesterday, alongside Inspire Activity.
The games were held at Hogarths Hotel, and all proceeds from the games will go to the Chambers chosen charity, Solihull Moors Foundation, who were also the overall winners of the games.
Becci Fox, CEO of Solihull Moors Foundation, said: "We were delighted to be part of such a wonderful event, it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and thank you to everyone that donated."
The other two winners of the games were Runyourfleet, who won the special judges award for brand awareness and sustainable retro headbands, as they used old Santa hats for their costumes, and Hogarths won the Special judges award for Best Team Spirit.
Samantha Frampton, head of Solihull Chamber, said: “What a fantastic afternoon, we had the sun and plenty of smiles. I want to give a big thank you to all of the teams that entered and took part, you made the games!"
Lynsey Kitching, co-founder and director of Cape Coaching and Development Ltd, one of the competing teams, said: “'A really fun and novel way to connect with people.... literally when you're doing a three-legged race strapped together! We loved it!”
Inspire Activity, who provided the games alongside the Chamber, is a leading management company in the West Midlands, specialising in organising events that promote health, happiness, and physical activity within local communities and workplaces.
