The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce have announced that they will be holding a new Internal Auditor training course.

This detailed course will be taking place for the first time at the GBCC premises on Wednesday 28 February from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

The course would suit any ISO Management System including the popular ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 27001 Information Security, ISO 14001 Environmental and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety.

The GBCC’s experienced trainer will conduct a presentation filled with guidance attendees will find extremely beneficial, as well as answer any questions individuals may have on the topic, with group discussions taking place to share experiences with fellow attendees.

Course topics include:

• An overview of management systems

• The purpose of an audit

• How to approach an audit

• Maximizing the benefits of monitoring and procedure control

• How to identify negative trends and rectify them

• How to identify positive trends and maximize them

• A practical auditing exercise

The day will include a light lunch and refreshments, as well as a workbook and presentation slides sent after the day, so attendees can recap on what has been taught and implement into their workplace.

Leah Quarmby (pictured), International Trade Training manager at the GBCC, said: “Being able to carry out an audit within your company is vital. No quality management system can achieve its potential unless it is constantly monitored and audited, our course will help attendees learn how to do this efficiently and effectively.

“Not only will learning how to complete an internal audit correctly benefit you and your team, but your customers too as you will be able to deliver a level of quality that improves performance for the business from all angles.

“Our trainer will be on hand to answer any questions you have about your own audit system, and offer suggestions of what could be improved or tailored to be even more practical to your company.”

The cost of the course will be £190 + VAT for members, and £260 + VAT for non-members.
