A major campaign designed to help businesses boost leadership and productivity is returning for a sixth year.

Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's annual Growth Through People campaign is a month-long initiative which culminates in an all-day conference.

Sponsored by Aston University, the campaign is split into four-themed weeks - responsible leadership, attracting and engaging talent, unlocking potential and harnessing resilience.

In 2021, more than 400 delegates attended campaign webinars and the virtual Growth Through People conference.

95 per cent of surveyed 2021 delegates would recommend Growth Through People events to their contacts or colleagues and 71 per cent reported that they learned something that they will be applying in their role or organisation.

In-person events are due to return as part of this year's campaign, subject to Covid-19 guidelines.

Emily Stubbs (pictured), policy and projects manager at the GBCC, said: “This year 's Growth Through People campaign is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with events, webinars, a high-profile conference and digital thought leadership content set to explore themes from the future of work to mental health and wellbeing, unlocking potential and more.

“Strong leadership and people management capabilities are a key driver of business productivity and as we emerge from the latest Covid-19 restrictions, these skills will be crucial for effectively tackling new challenges associated with long-term changes in the way we live and work.

“We are very much looking forward to working with our fantastic Growth Through People sponsors and experts across Chamber membership throughout March, to share best-practice advice and guidance on supporting and getting the most out of your people. ”
