Chamber lunch to reveal next 'Chosen Charity'
Lichfield & Tamworth Chamber of Commerce are inviting businesses and individuals to join them in determining the Chamber's next chosen charity at an event being held next month.
The 'Chosen Charity Selection Lunch ' on Monday 4 April will see members and non-members gather to hear from the trio of shortlisted charities in the running for this year's title.
The three shortlisted charities are:
- The Community Foundation for Staffordshire
- Help us Help Others
- Number 8 Tamworth
These organisations will be given a 5-minute slot to present the reasons why they should be chosen by the delegates present at the event.
Chamber president Jason Challoner (pictured) and vice presidents Julie Poppleton and Fiona Rouse judged the initial applications sent through last week and chose the three shortlisted charities.
Each delegate will have one vote and the shortlisted charities will not be eligible to vote.
The vote will be anonymous with the winner announced once all votes are counted during the event.
The judges said: "It was inspiring to read about the work of all the charities that applied to be Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber Charity, making our job difficult. The charities we chose work closely with the community in the area covered by our Chamber area and so whichever one is (elected/the winner) will ensure the fundraising achieved can make a real difference in our local area."
