Chamber offers vital health and safety courses for small businesses

The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce is offering a vital, information-based course next month to help small businesses with their health and safety guidance.

The full-day course takes place at Chamber House in Edgbaston on 14 October (9.30am - 3.30pm).

As new legislation on company requirements is set to be reviewed and updated on 1 October, this course will have the most current and accurate information on business procedures, not only for the safety of their team and customers but also to follow the laws surrounding Health and Safety in the workplace.

The course will be delivered through Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce in partnership with European Health & Safety Consultants Ltd.

The training is led by EHSC's managing director Becky Staincliffe (pictured).

EHSC Ltd have been trading for over 30 years, delivering training courses to a vast array of customers across Europe, and all Consultants hold a NEBOSH Diploma, Part 1 (or equivalent).

Topics covered in the course will include:

  • Overview of primary Health & Safety legislation, Health & Safety guidance, and best practice
  • Covid guidance on employees returning to work including new guidance on ventilation

For so many companies that have been working from home throughout the pandemic, guidance and procedures to bring team members back to the office will also be discussed.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided along with all materials needed.

Costs are £165 + VAT for members and £225 + VAT for non-members.
