Chamber patron staff take on marathon fundraising challenge
Staff at Burton Chamber patron, Document Network Services (DNS), will be walking, swimming, cycling, jogging and walking 2,500km throughout April to raise cash for charity.
The sporting challenge is part of the firm's 25th anniversary celebrations.
DNS are raising money for charity me&dee. Formed in 2006, me&dee is self-funded charity and depends solely on donations so that they can help families create special memories.
me&dee provide a break for those suffering from terminal illnesses.
Maria Hanson, founder of me&dee, commented: “I, we and me&dee are so very proud and deeply appreciate the support show to us by DNS from the day we met you.
"No man is an island, we simply cannot do what we do (with such a tiny team) without the support of the wider business community and public. You prove our saying - anybody can give something, anybody can do something, anybody can be a hero for me&dee."
The DNS Team are very much looking forward to getting suck into their challenge, as Georgia Petkovic, marketing manager at DNS, says: “I 'm really looking forward to beginning this challenge, albeit 2500km is a little daunting to say the least (especially with me not being an avid runner) but it is for a fantastic cause.
"The work Maria and Mark do at me&dee is phenomenal and they bring such joy to the families going through the most challenging times but can 't do it without donations. I hope we are able to spread the word and raise a great sum of money. ”
