Solihull Chamber president, Robert Elliot (pictured), has been appointed as director of Business Engagement and Development at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.

Robert brings with him a wealth of business experience and expertise and has been working with businesses within the region for more than 25 years.

He will continue to serve in his post as Solihull Chamber president until March.

On his appointment, Robert said: “It is with excitement and determination that I am delighted to be joining the Chamber team. To join a team that represents 1400 members and has 180 years of experience in engaging, influencing and connecting businesses and organisations is an honour.

“I have been working with businesses in the region for 30 years and most recently was part of the transformation of Stone Manor Hotel in North Worcestershire. Over the last two years I have been president of Solihull Chamber of Commerce and as such have a clear understanding of the needs and priorities of our most important stakeholder, our members.

“Herefordshire and Worcestershire has a rich and diverse mix of environments, businesses, and groups. Many of which are supported by the Chamber. I thoroughly look forward to meeting the Patron Members, stakeholders and partners and collectively providing value and growth in a sustainable and forward thinking way. ”
