Chamber recruiting non-executive director role
An individual with a deep understanding of the modern business landscape is being sought to join the board of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).
The GBCC is recruiting a new non-executive director to bring high-quality insight and a fresh external perspective to the development of the region’s premier business membership organisation.
The new NED will join the existing board of highly experienced and respected business leaders from the worlds of professional services, technology, manufacturing, finance public relations, wholesale and manufacturing.
The successful applicant will possess extensive experience in external-facing roles, as well as having a deep understanding of the modern business landscape.
Henrietta Brealey (pictured), chief executive at the GBCC, said: “At the Chamber, we’re here to unleash the potential of Greater Birmingham’s businesses and we are seeking a non-executive director to join our board to help us do it.
“Our NEDs play a critical role in bringing an external perspective and high-quality insight and oversight to the strategic development of our organisation.
“They are highly experienced and respected senior leaders who share our passion for supporting and championing the local business community, while ensuring that we embody best practice too.
“We are currently seeking applications for a NED vacancy.
“We are particularly looking for applications from individuals who possess extensive experience in external-facing roles that require engagement with a diverse array of businesses and/or a deep understanding of the contemporary business landscape.”
The GBCC’s board is chaired by Greg Lowson, formerly a partner and head of Birmingham office at law firm Pinsent Masons.
