Chamber set to take part in Birmingham Pride walk with members encouraged to attend
The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce will be taking part in the Birmingham Pride walking parade, happening on May 23.
The Chamber walking group is being organised by Future Faces Chamber of Commerce and members are encouraged to contact manager Sophie Poduval-Morrel for more information.
Meanwhile, Forviz Mazars will host Chamber members at its new offices in Chamberlain square ahead of the parade.
Future Faces Chamber of Commerce vice-president Nadia Johnstone-Smith (pictured) said: “Birmingham Pride represents equality, visibility, and justice. It is a privilege to celebrate and champion the diversity of our local community while embracing love in all its forms.
“Having been involved with Birmingham Pride for many years, I am continually inspired by the positivity, warmth, and sense of solidarity shared by everyone in the parade.
“Pride has always been rooted in protest, and as the future leaders of this city, we have a responsibility to show up and actively support a more inclusive Birmingham.
“Future Faces is proud to be a diverse, inclusive, and supportive network for young professionals, embracing everyone to be their true self, and we hope this culture extends across Birmingham’s business community—not just during Pride, but every day of the year
“In a time of economic uncertainty and global conflict, choosing love has never been more important.”
Simon Baker from Birmingham Pride, said: “Birmingham Pride very much welcomes the support of those local businesses whose values align with the meaning of pride and the positive impact it has for the city and wider West Midlands.
“Their commitment contributes to the championing of our diverse communities. We’re delighted to be returning to Victoria Square this year for our annual parade on Saturday 23 May, and we look forward to another vibrant and unforgettable celebration in the heart of the city.”
