Chamber thanks members for charity support
Businesses across Sutton Coldfield have been praised for the support shown to the Sutton Coldfield Chamber 's charity partner Sutton Coldfield YMCA.
With the three-year partnership coming to a close, the Sutton Coldfield Chamber 's divisional director, Chris Brewerton, has placed on record his thanks to those who have helped support the charity.
The Chamber has helped the charity promote a wide range of fundraising activities since March 2019, helping raise a total in excess of £20,000.
Chris said: “Our members voted to support Sutton Coldfield YMCA back in 2019 and at the time we just didn 't know how much pressure the organisation would be put beyond during the pandemic.
“Our members took part in sofa surfs, sleepouts, marathons, sky dives and engaged with the charity at a wide range of networking events through the three-year period.
“I would like to thank our committee, past and current presidents Katie Hale and Phil Arkinstall and all businesses who helped fundraise for the charity. ”
Acting chief executive of Sutton Coldfield YMCA, Joy-Scott Thompson, said: “The support offered by the Chamber and many of its members during our time as chosen charity has been a huge help to the charity, not only in terms of money raised but of awareness of our campaigns and engagement with our organisation.
“We look forward to continuing to build on that support as we continue to help families and young people for many years to come. ”
