Chamber to continue talks over Mexico trade opportunities

Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce will explore further trade opportunities with Mexico next month when it hosts the Mexican Ambassador to the UK.

The visit of Josefa Gonzalez-Blanco coincides with the Chamber 's Global Trade Conference at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on 15 February - and follows on from successful talks in August.

The Ambassador 's tour of the West Midlands is set to take in the trade conference, as well as visits to GBCC members in sectors such as automotive, medical care and aerospace industries.

There will also be a chance to involved young people in the conversation on the future of international trade, in collaboration with Commonwealth Chamber president Mark Smith and Aston University.

Chris McFarlane-Baxter, head of international divisions at the GBCC, said: “We 're delighted to be hosting Josefa Gonzalez-Blanco once again as we continue to explore further opportunities following successful talks last year involving myself, GBCC president Deb Leary and international director Mandy Haque. ”
