Chapter participates in Birmingham Wine Weekend
Chapter restaurant and bar are participating in the Birmingham Wine Weekend from 5 to 10 April.
The hugely successful event has been extended to a whole week this year.
Chapter has chosen two wines to feature during the week at the reduced price of £5 per glass. The wines have been chosen for their grape varieties - not the ubiquitous varieties seen around the world - and their seasonal appeal. The white wine choice is Sinfonia Verdejo 2020 from Tarragona in Spain. An organic wine and suitable for vegans, it is made from the lovely Verdejo grape variety, whose characteristics are somewhat similar to Sauvignon Blanc, but show a prevailing green apple taste balanced by a touch of kiwi and pear. A perfect quaffing wine for spring.
The red wine chosen - Pasqua Nero d 'Avola, Shiraz 2020 - is another organic wine, this time from Sicily. It is made from the Nero d 'Avolo grape, Sicily 's most important grape variety and is blended with Shiraz giving the wine power and spice.
As part of the Birmingham Wine Weekend, Chapter is holding a special dinner 'Call My Quaff ' on 7 April. Hosted by Tony Elvin of The Wine Events Company, guests listen to 3 different but compelling descriptions for each wine served, while they team up to guess which description is correct or just a load of bluff. Points make prizes!
?Guests will receive an aperitif on arrival, ahead of a three course signature dinner and wines to match each course.
Guests will arrive for 6:30pm for 7:00pm start.
Tickets are £60pp? ( £55 per person if signed up for Wine Week App)
