Charity aims to expand social care programme into West Midlands
Birmingham-based charity Family Society is looking to expand its established Schools Social Care Programme into the West Midlands.
For several years Family Society, the charity which operates adoption agency and Chamber of Commerce member Adoption Focus, has been operating its Schools Social Care Service in the East Midlands, helping children and families cope with social and psychological problems that may arise at school, at home, or in the wider community.
Family Society 's recent expansion now means that they are also able to provide these valuable services for West Midlands schools.
They can provide your school with a flexible and adaptable service to meet the needs of each school, and their skilled social care workers will work with pupils to eliminate barriers to learning.
A head teacher in Leicester said: “The school social worker is amazing, she is valued within the school and we feel she is a strong member of the school team. The work she does to support our school and the families within is extremely efficient and effective. ”
If this is something that you think might interest your school, please do get in touch for an informal chat about what we can offer you and how the program could benefit your school and its pupils.
