Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is launching its biggest ever raffle where those buying tickets will be in with the chance of winning a grand prize of a classic Land Rover Defender or £20,000.

A raffle for a classic Land Rover Defender and a host of other prizes has opened, with all funds raised going to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s pre-hospital emergency service.

Every £10 ticket purchased will ensure Midlands Air Ambulance Charity can continue to save lives in the West Midlands.

The first prize in the charity raffle is a classic 2014 Land Rover Defender 110 County Station Wagon. The car was originally donated to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity by Jaguar Land Rover ten years ago.

It has served the charity well over the past decade as it’s been used to collect donations and transport vital blood products to locations across the charity’s six-county operating patch.

The seven-seater has a 2.2L “Puma” Turbo Diesel engine and 6-speed manual gearbox and its current mileage is roughly 50,000 miles. It comes with a brand-new set of Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 tyres. The first prize winner can opt to take £20,000 as an alternative.

There are three further prizes to be won. Participants have the chance to win two cash prizes of £500 and £100 and a TV worth £400.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity said: “We are always so thankful for the kind donations from local businesses to our lifesaving cause, just like this fabulous Land Rover Defender, which has helped us provide vital blood products and collect donations across our operating patch.

“To ensure we can continue saving lives across the West Midlands, we encourage anyone who is feeling lucky to take part in our raffle. Not only will you be in with the chance of winning some great prizes, you will also be supporting our lifesaving service.”
