Charity launches winter campaign to further invest in research
Sands, a charity focused on people affected by pregnancy loss, has launched a winter campaign to raise funds for research.
The campaign will highlight how support is advancing the Charity’s commitment to invest in research to save babies’ lives and improve mental health provisions and resources, so every family receives the best possible care for a hopeful future.
Through working in partnership with Big Give’s Christmas Challenge, donations made during the campaign from the 3 to 10 December will be doubled, offering supporters a rewarding opportunity to double the impact of their support to Sands.
Rachael Heath (pictured), Head of individual giving at Sands, said: “This year alone, thousands of families are sharing the love for the pregnancy or baby they have lost by remembering them in their family traditions or creating new traditions to reflect their experience.
“We know that pregnancy and baby loss isn't 'just one of those things,’ that’s why, thanks to our amazing supporters, we’re working tirelessly to support vital research, we’re calling for change, and we’re making sure we are there for bereaved parents and families whenever they need us.
“The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge is an exciting week where any donation made between 3rd - 10th December will be matched by the Big Give charity champions - helping Sands create a better future for families all over the UK.
“We are grateful to everyone who can lend their support to our campaign, whether that’s through sharing our campaign with your networks or making a donation during the week”
