Local charity, Age UK Solihull, is holding a SpeedQuizzing Night on Wednesday 26 October, sponsored by fellow members of Solihull Chamber of Commerce, Birmingham Business Park.

The quiz will take place from 7pm at Fountains Care Home on Stratford Road, Shirley.

The SpeedQuizzing Night, where questions are answered via a tablet or smartphone, will be hosted by Stoo “Mister Quiz ” Pittaway. There will be drinks, light refreshments and a raffle with prizes up for grabs.

Rebecca Jacob, digital marketing and fundraising manager at Age UK Solihull, said: “We are looking forward to our eighth SpeedQuizzing Night.

"We are a local charity and every penny raised will stay in Solihull to help us provide our services for older and vulnerable residents, many of whom have had a particularly challenging couple of years with the coronavirus pandemic and the rising cost of living.

“Events like this one not only raise vital funds for us, but they are also a chance to see our wonderful supporters in person - something which we do not take for granted after two years of limited face-to-face events.

“A big thank you to our Birmingham Business Park for sponsoring the event, and to Fountains Care Home for hosting and providing the drinks and refreshments. ”

Birmingham Business Park 's marketing, community and business development manager, Lori Henebury, said: “Birmingham Business Park is proud to sponsor Age UK Solihull 's SpeedQuizzing Night - we are so pleased to see these events back in person bringing the Solihull community back together again. ”

Tickets are £10 per person and there can be up to six people per team. For more information and to book your tickets, visit www.ageuk.org.uk/solihull/quiz-night
