Charity to host Dinner in the Dark event

Sight loss and complex needs local charity, Focus Birmingham, are hosting a Dinner in the Dark event.

The dinner will be held at the award winning Thai restaurant Zen Metro, Cornwall Street, Birmingham, on Wednesday 29 March 2023.

The dinner is an immersive experience giving diners the opportunity to gain a unique insight into how sight loss can affect a person 's life.

Guests can rely on their senses, heightened by use of a darkened room and blindfold and enjoy all the taste and texture of a scrumptious three-course meal.

Cate Burke (pictured), CEO, commented: “Sight loss undoubtedly changes day-to-day living, something as seemingly simple and enjoyable as eating dinner can become such a frustrating challenge.

“We want people to support the event to increase awareness and to enable us to continue our vital work supporting people with sight loss. The bonus is a fabulous meal and great fun. ”
