Chartered accountants become latest fun run sponsor
Edgbaston-based independent chartered accountants and Chamber members, JW Hinks LLP, are the latest firm to sponsor the Royal Sutton Fun Run.
Registration for this year 's event has closed for this year 's event.
The 40th Royal Sutton Fun Run takes place on Sunday 4 June, with an 11am start time.
James Cruse, partner at JW Hinks said: “We are delighted and thrilled to become a Supporting Sponsor of the Royal Sutton Fun Run and look forward to developing the partnership over the next few years.
“A number of partners and staff live in and around Sutton Coldfield and are fully aware of the unique event and atmosphere the Fun Run represents.
“The Fun Run has been an annual fixture within the royal town 's event calendar since 1982 and generated nearly £5 million for charities and voluntary organisations chosen by those who participate.
“It 's a huge sum of money to raise and supports so many locally based organisations who are delivering critical support and services to people across the town, particularly during the post covid recovery and current cost of living crisis.
“We 're looking forward to our partnership with the Fun Run and I 'm sure both organisations will benefit from our involvement. ”
Fun Run director, Vanessa Hoe said: “We 're delighted to have secured the support of JW Hinks LLP as our Official Accountants. With a history spanning 125 years and one of the few large independent accountancy firms in the area, our partnership with JW Hinks is a perfect fit.
“Commercial partnerships are critical to underwriting the costs of staging the event. Securing new partners puts us in a much stronger position to distribute even more money to charities and voluntary groups who continue to do such great work across our communities.
“At the completion of this year 's event, we 're reasonably confident we will break £5million having been raised since 1982 and that 's in part to the invaluable support we receive from our commercial partners including JW Hinks.
“We 're excited about developing our relationship in future years anticipating JW Hinks will use the Fun Run to encourage staff and clients to participate and raise money for their chosen charity and continue their work in supporting local charities. ”
