Chartered surveyors team complete charity walk up Snowdon
Cottons, a Chartered Surveyors firm, recently completed a fundraiser walk up Snowdon to raise money for the Stroke Association.
The team at Cottons had all been affected by one of their close friends who had recently suffered from a stroke. They wanted to get together and raise as much money as they could for much-needed funds for the Stroke Association, to help them continue providing specialist in-person support, fund critical research and help to further campaign for the very best possible care for everyone affected by stroke.
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down and so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. The Stroke Association provides specialist support, and their research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support, they can help rebuild even more lives.
The team started their assent last week at 9:20am along the Llanberis Path. They reached the summit around 2-2:30pm and then back down again at 6:30pm. The team said it was hard work, with lots of sheer determination and tears but was well worth it, especially when they realised they had raised £6,301 for the Stroke Association.
The Stroke Association said: “Thank you for sharing the photos they’re brilliant. I’m completely blown away by how much you raised, £6,281 is a huge amount of money for us and will make a big difference to the work we do. Please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone who took part and to all of your incredibly generous sponsors!”
The staff at Cottons wish to thank everyone who donated and supported them in such a fantastic achievement.
