Chemique Adhesives has expanded its toll manufacturing capacity at its Midlands facility following significant investment in new mixing technology.

The upgrade enables customers to seamlessly scale adhesives, sealants, coatings, and speciality chemicals from development batches to commercial-scale production with certified quality and full confidentiality.

With more than 40 years' experience, Chemique Adhesives provides end-to-end toll manufacturing across a range of chemistries, including polyurethane, water-based and solvent-based systems.

The expanded operation supports flexible batch sizes from 200 to 4,000 litres for product trials, scale-up programmes, additional volume, and peak demand periods.

The updated facility is equipped with high-shear, planetary, butterfly and vacuum mixing technologies, allowing the technical team to select the appropriate process for a wide range of formulation requirements including high-filler systems, reactive polyurethanes and products containing mineral or functional additives requiring controlled dispersion.

All operations adhere to ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety certifications.

In addition to production, Chemique offers comprehensive quality control and performance testing through its on-site laboratory.

The team can conduct viscosity and rheology assessment, cure and open time verification, and various application and bonding tests tailored to specific requirements.

This enables customers to validate incoming materials, monitor batch consistency and confirm that finished products meet their required technical specifications before release.

Stuart Francis, managing director at Chemique Adhesives and Sealants, said: "Toll manufacturing gives customers access to additional production capacity without the lead times and capital investment involved in expanding in-house operations.

“Our investment in new mixing lines means we can offer greater flexibility, fast turnaround and access to specialist equipment that matches exact formulation requirements.”

The service is designed for brands, formulators and manufacturers seeking a trusted, confidential production partner who can provide a seamless path from initial laboratory development through to full commercial production under certified quality, environmental and safety standards.
