City education provider becomes headline sponsor for Asian Business Chambers’ 40th anniversary gala celebrations
A Birmingham education and training provider has been named headline sponsor of the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce’s 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner and awards ceremony.
Longstanding ABCC members South & City College Birmingham (SCCB) will support the event, taking place at Birmingham Town Hall on 10 March 2027.
With seven campuses and specialist centres located across Birmingham, SCCB offers a wide range of programmes from entry-level qualifications through to degree-level study, helping learners develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required for further study, employment and career progression.
The college plays a significant role in supporting Birmingham’s skills agenda, working closely with businesses and industry partners to provide workforce development, technical training and professional education that responds to employer needs.
SCCB places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching and learning, supported by a dedicated leadership team and a strategy designed to promote educational excellence across all areas of provision.
Alongside its educational provision, the college offers a range of support services for students, parents and schools, helping learners make informed decisions about their future education and careers.
Mike Hopkins, SCCB’s principal and chief executive, said: “South & City College Birmingham is incredibly proud to be the headline sponsor for the ABCC this year.
“We have supported and sponsored the ABCC, and before it, the IAB for well over 25 years. In that time, we have seen it grow in status and influence, and it is now a key part of the GBCC and the wider business community.
“We have sponsored categories for years and were a previous headline sponsor and this reflects our ongoing commitment and support both to the ABCC and to the Asian Businesses and Asian businessmen and women in our region.”
Applications are now open for four award categories, replacing previous formats:
- Asian Legacy & Heritage Award
- Excellence in Asian Business Award
- Asian Vision & Innovation Award
- Community Impact Award
Applications close on 1 November.
General sale tickets are priced at £125 + VAT while an Earlybird corporate table of 10 is priced at £1,000 + VAT until 30 November 2026. Afterwards, a table of 10 will be priced at £1,200 plus VAT.
