Coach firm climbs aboard with charity to raise vital funds
Henley in Arden-based Johnsons Coaches have got on board with Britain’s only registered charity of its kind to help raise vital life-saving funds.
Arrive Alive raises cash to fund voluntary operated lifesaving vehicles which are dispatched to 999 calls by West Midlands Ambulance Service. The charity is solely reliant on donations to save lives within communities.
Now the Henley coach company has selected Arrive Alive as one of their chosen charities for 2023 to help to raise funds to assist with saving lives.
Kyran Flynn, general manager at Johnsons Coaches, said: “In 2023, we successfully raised £4,750 for Arrive Alive through customer raffles, events and staff fundraising activities. Arrive Alive is a remarkable organisation that provides essential support to the community with first response cars.
“We are proud to have supported them and helped raise funds for new vehicles. As a result of our success, we have chosen Arrive Alive as one of our charities for 2024 and will continue our efforts to raise funds for their cause.”
The staff at Johnsons Coaches have voted for Arrive Alive to also be one of Johnsons Coaches’ chosen charities for 2024.
Debbie Roscoe, founder of Arrive Alive, said: “It has been wonderful to work with Johnsons Coaches during 2023, the enthusiasm and support from the Johnsons Coaches staff and customers has been fantastic.
“The proceeds that were raised during 2023 will make a massive contribution towards an additional voluntary operated lifesaving vehicle to cover the Midlands. The surprise of being selected as one of their chosen charities for a second year has also come as a massive boost to the Arrive Alive team.”
