Coffee morning at city hotel raises than £350 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Staybridge Suites Birmingham has raised more than £350 for Macmillan Cancer Support through a community coffee morning.
The event brought together hotel guests, colleagues and local visitors featuring homemade cakes, coffee, conversation and the opportunity to support a great cause.
The fundraiser forms part of a wider campaign ahead of the London Marathon 2027, where the hotel’s sales manager Natalie Zapater will be taking on the challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Natalie Zapater said: “Raising funds for a cause that impacts so many of us is something I am truly passionate about. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, and we understand the devastation it can cause throughout treatment and beyond.
“By fundraising for Macmillan, I know that every pound raised will help support the incredible work they do day in and day out for people affected by cancer. Taking on the marathon will be a huge personal challenge, having only ever run 10km.
“However, events such as the coffee morning, along with the other fundraising activities we have planned, are thoroughly enjoyable and bring people together for the greater good. It is wonderful to be able to support those who may be going through such a challenging time.”
