College opens applications for governor roles
Solihull College and University Centre is seeking four new governors to join its well-established Corporation Board.
The College states that it is in a strong financial position, has high student satisfaction and a great reputation with local employers and stakeholders.
It is made up of three campuses - Blossomfield, near Solihull town centre, Woodlands in North Solihull, and Stratford-upon-Avon College.
According to the College, this is an exciting time to be a part of the governing body following a 'Good ' Ofsted result and ongoing investment in facilities for the students.
As well as full Corporation members, the College is also seeking external committee members for its Audit and Remuneration committee.
The role should be of regard to those who are interested in education and training, economic and social development, have experience in a senior strategic role and want to influence the lives of young people and adults.
The College would like to recruit from specialisms such as funding, property, sustainability, equality and diversity.
Increasing diversity on the governing board is of particular interest to the College in order to represent the student profile more closely.
Interest from BAME applicants and people with disabilities is greatly welcomed in order to achieve this, as well as applicants who are located in the North Solihull and Stratford-upon-Avon areas.
