Staff and students at Solihull Sixth Form College have raised money to help beat Breast Cancer.

Staff in the student development team worked with students at the end of the first half of the Autumn Term to raise money for Breast Cancer Now on Wear It Pink Day.

Their total exceeded £545 for the charity.

A full day of events included a tombola, cake and sweet sale, guess the name of the bear competition, guess the sweets in the jar competition and a lucky dip. Staff were dressed all in pink for the day and a staff only raffle was held too.

Associate principal Anisa Lokat-Fanning said: “Congratulations to all of the staff and students who were involved in this wonderful day of fundraising. It was inspirational to see the college community dressed in pink for such a worthwhile cause. ”
