South and City College is helping even more employers stride forward into the digital age with a new cohort of digital marketing apprentices.

Boasting a stellar reputation for quality training and apprenticeships, the college is helping businesses across the city and further afield gain the skills they need to help them grow and combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Anshu Williams (pictured), digital marketing tutor, said “We have found that over the last 12 months it has been more important to engage with customers and clients online, we 're finding that more of our employers are needing an extra pair of hands in their marketing teams to help with the running of campaigns and social media.

“An apprentice will help your business to achieve its growth potential and the digital marketing apprenticeship is focused on embedding the essential tools and knowledge needed to help your business to achieve its marketing objectives.

“Our apprentices work closely with you and your marketing department to develop those skills as well as attending fortnightly taught sessions online, you have support from a dedicated tutor to guide you and your apprentice through the journey and by the end of the course you will have a fantastic member of the team who will continue to grow with your business.

“To make things even sweeter, the government have extended their grants for new apprentices meaning there 's a minimum grant of £3000 if your apprentice is employed before the end of September 2021. ”

South and City College has also introduced a suite of free training courses to support those businesses who are not currently in the position to employ an apprentice.

This includes a one-day 'social media for business ' course to help small employers promote their business online.
