Collier’s business rates team recruits new director in national business rates team
Colliers Business Rates Team has recruited Henry Wadsworth as a new director in its national business rates team. Henry will be based in the Leeds office reporting to Director Andrew Stacey.
Henry’s principal role will be to support clients by ensuring they are appropriately assessed and in turn minimising rates liability, with a particular focus on the licence and leisure sectors. Henry will also support the development and growth of the local team.
Henry joins Colliers from the VOA where he was Regional Valuation Lead involved in providing advice and assurance for complex valuation issues in his regional unit, dealing with checks and challenges, and signing off rateable value reductions, as well as quality assurance. He is also a RICS Rating Diploma holder, the highest-level qualification in business rates.
Darren Williams, Head of UK Rating Valuation Surveyors at Colliers said, “Henry’s experience at the VOA will be exceedingly beneficial to our existing and potential clients and we are delighted that he has jumped the fence and agreed to boost our team.
The need for good business rates advice for clients has never been more important following the introduction of complicated new multipliers in the Budget, the new 2026 Rating Revaluation coming into effect in April and the run up to 2023 List closure at the end of March. There is a lot of work to be done.”
Henry Wadsworth added, “I am very excited about this new opportunity and looking forward to the challenges my new role in Colliers will bring.”
