KWB Corporate Cleaning has committed to reducing its carbon footprint in the latest stage of its sustainability journey and improved client service.

The Birmingham-based commercial cleaning company has partnered with Ecologi, the environmental organisation looking to reverse and halt climate change.

Ecologi will offset the operational team 's carbon emissions by funding responsible tree planting and other climate projects.

KWB Corporate Cleaning strives to innovate and was last year awarded ISO 14001 accreditation in recognition of its effective environmental management.

Jim Duffy (pictured), sales director at KWB Corporate Cleaning, said: “As a people-first company with environmentally conscious staff and clients, it 's important for us to minimise impact and protect our planet.

“We already adopt an integrated approach to sustainability by minimising electricity consumption, reducing waste, using environmentally friendly products, reducing water consumption, recycling and using local supply chains.

“This new partnership with Ecologi is the next step in our commitment to leaving a positive impact on our industry and community both today and in the future.

“It 's exciting to be able to monitor the difference we 're making on our Ecologi dashboard. Despite starting the initiative only recently, we 've already offset 2.25 tonnes of carbon. ”

Ecologi 's mission is to inspire and empower businesses to accelerate global action on climate and nature. It wants to reduce 50 per cent of global CO2 emissions by 2040 and responsibly plant billions of trees every year. For more details visit their website.
