Senior leaders are invited to a series of masterclasses to help them make an impact in high-stakes media interviews and presentations.

Award-winning communications consultancy MIH Group is running the Media Interview and Presentation Skills masterclasses throughout 2026.

Both are aimed at public and private sector leaders who could find themselves in pressurised environments in front of the media, major clients or key decision-makers.

MIH managing director Jo Yeaman said: “Imagine you’re about to walk into a crucial meeting or interview with your organisation’s reputation on the line - or perhaps your own. This is a pivotal moment when both your performance and your every word counts.

“If you’re not prepared to communicate with confidence, clarity and authority, you risk losing trust and credibility among key stakeholders.

“Our masterclasses are designed specifically for these situations. These practical, one-day courses are designed to build your confidence and capability when communicating under pressure.”

The Media Interview masterclass draws on MIH’s experience on both sides of the camera, with ex-journalists and former communications directors among those delivering the course.

After a presentation exploring how to handle reporters by understanding priorities, angles and reinforcing core messages, delegates will be put through their paces with tailored, realistic scenarios they may have to face in their role.

They will take on mock radio, TV and written press interviews to put their learning into practice. Playback, feedback and coaching will be delivered in a supportive environment by experts with first-hand experience of being in front of the cameras.

Those attending the Presentation Skills training will benefit from another hands-on course, starting with a tutorial on how to structure a presentation and deliver it with impactful messaging and presence.

Each delegate will have the chance to present to the room on camera, with time to practise, receive feedback and refine their approach.

The events are capped at six delegates, ensuring a personalised experience, and include a buffet lunch, refreshments and course handbook to take away.

Jo Yeaman continued: “Our highly skilled course leaders have first-hand experience of guiding organisations and leaders through challenges and dealing with important stakeholders.

“We can help leaders communicate with clarity, authority and control when it matters most, whether presenting to important stakeholders or handling media scrutiny.

“As well as taking away key hints, tips and insights, delegates will benefit from practical experience on the day.

“They’ll learn how to get to grips with tricky questions through interactive practice, detailed playback, coaching and feedback.”

The courses take place at MIH Spaces – a high-quality conference facility at the company’s HQ in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire – on different dates in June, September and November.

Jo Yeaman said: “We can also bring our media studio to you if you’d prefer to put on a dedicated session for your organisation.”

Anyone who books a place on both courses will get a 10 per cent discount.

Delegates wishing to attend either course can view the dates and sign up through the website.
