Consultancy firm opens Birmingham office

A multi-disciplinary consultancy firm has opened a new office in Birmingham city centre.

Iceni Projects has launched the new office, based in the Colmore Building, in a bit to further mee the growing needs of its clients in the heart of the country.

The office is headed up by Gemma Jenkinson, who brings more than 20 years ' private sector consultancy experience.

She has led the delivery of complex urban sites and large scale strategic developments, both through planning applications and strategic site promotion.

In addition to Birmingham, Iceni Projects has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London.

The multi-disciplinary company employs more than 110 staff and has expertise in archaeology, design, heritage and townscape, impact management, town planning, sustainable development, economics and transport planning.

Iceni 's CEO Ian Anderson said: “I am delighted that we have been able to fulfill a commitment we made to both ourselves and Birmingham City Council some years ago by opening an office in the city centre.

“Birmingham is arguably the most exciting and vibrant place to be in the country right now, with incredible levels of inward investment, and competing land use demands.

“We have had to be patient in finding the right person with the drive and ambition to lead our first foray into Birmingham, which makes Gemma 's decision to join us all the more rewarding. ”

Gemma Jenkinson said: “There can no better time to be joining Iceni, or to be leading the company into Birmingham.

Iceni Projects are having a party to celebrate the launch on Thursday 23 September at JoJo lounge in Newhall Street, Birmingham.
