Professional services group Cooper Parry (CP) has made another acquisition – snapping up Wimbledon-based independent chartered financial planners, Gem & Co (Gem).

Gem & Co was formed by managing director Gareth Rees in 2001.

The deal marks CP’s eighth deal since partnering with New York-based private equity firm Lee Equity Partners in April 2025 and pushes CP’s pro forma turnover beyond £250m, as the firm moves towards its target of £600m by 2028.

Gareth Rees said: “I’m incredibly proud of the team at Gem & Co and what we’ve built together.

“Joining Cooper Parry Wealth supercharges our mission to bring financial planning to more people and deliver independent, evidence-based investment advice with even more pace and precision.

“Our clients will see the same trusted team - now backed by greater scale, technology and specialist expertise.

“It’s growth without compromise and we can do even more of what changes clients’ lives for the better. We’re excited for what this unlocks. The next chapter starts here.”
