Cooper Parry appointments

Professional services firm Cooper Parry has strengthened the Fellwood Advisory team with two senior debt advisory specialists from KPMG.

The appointments come just over a year after Fellwood Advisory became part of Cooper Parry.

Saran Lall joins as director in the Midlands, while Molly Pearson joins as associate director in London.

Prior to joining Fellwood Advisory, Saran spent more than five years in KPMG's Debt Advisory team, where she led the national Leveraged Finance Debt Advisory business.

She advised private equity sponsors and corporate clients across a broad range of financing transactions, including sellside and buyside M&A, refinancings, recapitalisations and growth funding.

Before moving into advisory, Saran built extensive experience in banking, working across leveraged finance teams at Santander, Lloyds Banking Group and NatWest.

Molly joins after 11 years in the KPMG Debt Advisory team, where she advised a range of clients from small family-owned businesses to FTSE 250 companies on financing and refinancing transactions.

During this time Molly developed significant expertise in corporate lending with a particular focus on asset-based lending solutions.

Craig Cheetham, founding partner of Fellwood Debt Advisory said: "Saran and Molly are both highly respected advisers with outstanding experience across lending, refinancing and debt structuring.

“Their appointments further strengthen Fellwood Advisory now part of Cooper Parry and our Debt Advisory capability. Enhancing the integrated support we provide to clients through Cooper Parry Deals.

“Their appointments strengthen our UK footprint, now enabling us to provide a dedicated local coverage across the Midlands with the appointment of Saran as well as strengthening our UK service offering for asset-based lending with Molly’s appointment."

Saran Lall said: "Cooper Parry's ambition and challenger mindset immediately stood out to me. The business has built a strong reputation for combining specialist expertise with a genuinely entrepreneurial approach, making it an exciting opportunity to be part of.

"The financing landscape is becoming increasingly complex, particularly for private equity-backed businesses navigating acquisitions, refinancings and growth plans.

“I'm looking forward to helping sponsors and management teams access the right funding solutions while contributing to the continued growth of Cooper Parry's Debt Advisory team."

Molly Pearson said: "This is a really exciting time to join Cooper Parry. What attracted me was the strength of the wider Deals proposition, the quality of the people and the opportunity to work with ambitious businesses with a broad range of funding requirements.

"Businesses need advisers who can help them navigate an increasingly diverse lending market and identify the right structure for their future plans. I'm looking forward to working alongside colleagues across the Deals team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients."
