The Solihull Skills Show is a great opportunity for employers to meet their future workforce and is now open for booking.

Organised by Solihull Careers Hub and supported by the Solihull Employment and Skills Board, employers will get 3 hours dedicated for their business for them to meet young talent in the borough at the show.

Employers will create and deliver interactive skills sessions to engage with young people and help them develop essential skills such as problem solving, creativity, leadership and teamwork. This will be a fantastic development opportunity for the staff while inspiring young people to start a career in their industry.

Eleanor Palmer, Solihull Careers Hub Lead, said: “Interaction with employers is key for young people to understand all the different routes in the world of work. Through hands-on skills-based activities, employers can equip young people for work by connecting the skills they develop and how those apply to career opportunities. This will inspire young people to think about joining their team in the future.”

Will Shepherd, Chair of the Solihull Employment and Skills Board, added: “We are proud to support the show. Our members shared their experience of delivering interactive activities during careers days which have always been well received by young people. This show creates an amazing opportunity for employers to meet young people from multiple schools in the borough and raise their company profile.”

Solihull Skills Show will be held at the Woodlands Campus of Solihull College & University Centre in Smith’s Wood (B36 0NF). Employers are free to take part in morning and/or afternoon sessions during 8-10 July. Sign up now with this online form.
