Coventry City defender Jordon Thompson has joined Solihull Moors.

Moors made the signing on the cusp of the deadline for clubs in the National League to add to their squad for the end-of-season run-in.

Boss Mark Yates has taken full advantage by squeezing one more in prior to the registration deadline, with Thompson joining on a short-term loan until 30 May.

The 22-year-old has previous experience in the fifth tier, with spells at Barrow, Boreham Wood and Wrexham.

He signed his first professional contract with Coventry in the summer of 2017, when he graduated from the Youth Academy, having risen through the ranks.

Jordon (pictured) has six first team league appearances to his name for the Sky Blues, including two in the Championship this season, when he featured against Reading and Bournemouth.

Manager Mark Yates said: “I am delighted we 've been able to get the loan done and I 'd like to thank Coventry for allowing us to get it through.

“Jordon will add pace and power to the backline. We 've got so many centre backs either in the treatment room on the road to recovery or suspended at present.

“Games are coming thick and fast, so Jordon will be a welcome addition to the squad. ”

Jordon will wear the squad number 31 and is eligible for Saturday 's clash with Yeovil Town at the SportNation.bet Stadium.
