Creative careers fair set to launch tomorrow

A creative careers fair, organised by Ikon, will be held tomorrow where sector professionals will be present to discuss about their experiences in the creative industries.

The careers fair will be held at the Ikon gallery from 5pm to 8pm, and will include stands from Birmingham Design, BCU Art Business, BOM (Birmingham Open Media), Centrala, Coffin Works, Craftspace, DASH (Disability Arts in Shropshire), The GAP Arts Project, Grand Union, Ikon Youth Programme, MAC (Midlands Arts Centre), The Rep, Vivid Projects, and Warwick Arts Centre.

Participants will be able to find out about opportunities at recruitment opportunities at Ikon, and across the city while meeting Ikon 's front of house team prior to their next period of recruitment for 2024 exhibitions.

Megan Linekar-Wright (pictured), front of house and events coordinator, said: “We are really excited to be hosting a careers fair to discuss opportunities in the creative industry and promote the Information Assistant role at Ikon.

“We will also invite other organisations from the industry to talk about the experiences they can offer, they will be based local and out-side of the city. Please share with your contacts, friends and family ”
