Cultural venue launches Autumn programme

Lichfield venue The Hub at St Mary 's has launched its Autumn season of music, theatre, exhibitions, family shows, comedy and variety.

The new season kicks off with a free exhibition, Journey into Marvel (8 Aug - 14 Oct), which allows visitors to get up close and personal with the characters from Marvel Comics.

There 's a display of original published pages, along with re-imaginations of classic covers and some original Marvel UK comics.

There will also be workshops and themed activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Other family events include a Princess Afternoon Tea (15 October) - especially for fans of Frozen and Baby Sing and Jam sessions (22 Oct and 3 Dec) led by Kelly Percival with support from her live band.

The NE Street Band (15 Sept) offers a deep dive into Bruce Springsteen 's back catalogue.

Alex Ohm 's New Sounds (13 Oct) celebrates the rich variety of up-and-coming Midlands musicians.

A Band Called Malice (27 Oct) deliver an authentic and energetic tribute to The Jam and Chasing Mumford (17 Nov) will bring the energy of the folk-rock festival sound.

Other gigs include Fore Fighters with Alanish (21 Oct) - a Foo Fighters tribute band coupled with a tribute to Alanis Morissette, An Evening of Radiohead (23 Sept) from local favourites Let Me In and Mark Harrison (3 Nov), storyteller and acclaimed Roots songwriter.

Following the sell-out success of last season 's Sunday Acoustic Lounge sessions, Tom Roberts and Gladstone Wilson are back with more guest vocalists (1 Oct, 29 Oct & 26 Nov).

There are also some jazz vibes on the way with The Nick Dewhurst Trio at our Sunday Jazz sessions (10 Sept, 22 Oct and 3 Dec).

Celebrate the magic of Christmas with A Holly Dolly Christmas (25 Nov), a sensational tribute to the legendary Dolly Parton.

Familiarity (8 & 9 Dec), is a festive acoustic concert-come-theatre show with l melodies, close harmonies and renditions of folk inspired songs.

The Highly Strung Quartet return to The Hub for Seasonal Strings (10 Dec), with Carols and festive pop hits.
Expect some more well-known classics and festive favourites at the John Rutter Christmas Concert (17 Dec).

Meanwhile, live band Ruby Bridge perform a festive Christmas Party Night (22 Dec).

There is a lots more music and comedy in store throughout the season.
