Dains recognised as one of the UK’s leading financial advisors
Dains Corporate Finance has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading financial advisors for M&A, securing a place in the top 20 nationally in Experian’s full year MarketIQ rankings.
The firm completed 45 transactions during the year, placing it 20th in the UK and marking the first time Dains has entered the national top 20 of M&A advisors for the full year.
Regionally, Dains finished 9th in the Midlands, also marking its first appearance in the region’s top 10 advisors for the full year.
After breaking into the UK’s top 20 in Q1, Dains has continued to build momentum, supported by the combined strength of its Corporate Finance teams across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
The growth of the team reflects the wider expansion of the Dains Group. Dains has integrated with acquired firms including HSKSG, Magma, McInerney Saunders and Consilium to form an integrated corporate finance team operating across the Midlands, Scotland and Ireland.
In June 2025 Barnes and Roffe, brought additional corporate finance expertise and strengthening the group’s national coverage into London and the South East.
HURST, based in Manchester, joined the Dains Group at the beginning of 2026. This year, the HURST team will integrate its Corporate Finance operations with the rest of the Group.
Dains Corporate Finance now comprises 31 professionals operating across the Midlands, Scotland, Ireland, London and now the North West.
Dains’ performance also earned the team recognition at TheBusinessDesk.com’s East Midlands Rainmaker Awards 2025, where it was shortlisted across four categories:
- Medium Deal of the Year (£10m - £50m)
- Regional Corporate Finance Advisory
- Transaction Services
- Rainmaker of the Year, with Corporate Finance Partner Roy Farmer nominated for the highly regarded individual award
Roy Farmer (pictured), corporate finance partner at Dains, said: “Breaking into the UK’s top 20 advisers is an important milestone for Dains and reflects the significant investment and development that has taken place across the group in recent years.
“By bringing together corporate finance teams from across the Dains Group, we’ve created a stronger, more integrated advisory platform spanning the Midlands, Scotland and Ireland. The addition of firms such as Barnes Roffe and HURST further strengthens our ability to support clients across the UK.
“Our focus remains on helping ambitious business owners realise value and achieve their strategic objectives, whether through sale, investment or growth.
“With the backing of IK Partners and a growing national footprint, we believe Dains is well positioned to continue climbing the rankings in the years ahead.”
