Date announced for Colmore Food Festival 2026
The Colmore Food Festival will return to Victoria Square on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 July 2026 - marking the 13th year of one of Birmingham’s most popular free events.
The festival continues to be a major summer highlight for the city, celebrating the depth and diversity of the hospitality scene across Colmore Business District.
Each year it brings together restaurants, independents, and producers, giving visitors a taste of the area’s culinary prowess.
The 2025 edition, delivered as part of Birmingham’s ‘Super Weekend’, saw record-breaking crowds, with 75,000 visitors coming together across two days to enjoy food, drink and entertainment in the heart of the city.
Featuring 31 traders from the district and beyond, last year’s festival also celebrated the return of Demonstration Kitchen on Chamberlain Square, where local chefs, mixologists and bakers took to the stage to share signature dishes, showcase new techniques, and shine a spotlight on the talent that makes Birmingham’s food scene nationally recognised.
Building on this momentum, the 2026 Festival promises a packed entertainment programme with variety of traders, and a vibrant weekend atmosphere designed to welcome residents, workers, families, and visitors from across the region.
Open from 11am–8pm on both Friday and Saturday, the Colmore Food Festival remains free to attend and continues to champion affordability accessibility through capped pricing and taster‑sized portions, allowing visitors to sample a wide range of flavours without breaking the bank.
Alex Tross, deputy board chair and lead of Colmore Culture Working Group, said:
“Colmore Food Festival has become a highlight in the Birmingham’s summer calendar, and we’re thrilled to be bringing it back to Victoria Square for its 13th year.
“The Festival is a fantastic celebration of the creativity, quality, and diversity of our hospitality sector in Colmore.
“After welcoming 75,000 people in 2025, we’re excited to build on that success and create another unforgettable weekend for the region’s residents, workers, and visitors.”
Further details, including the full trader lineup, entertainment schedule, and Demo Kitchen programme, will be announced in the coming months.
