Davisons Law raises more than £7,000 for Cure Leukaemia 24-hour charity challenge

A Midlands law firm has raised more than £7,000 for Cure Leukaemia before a single pedal has been turned in its upcoming 24-hour charity indoor cycling challenge.

Davisons Law has secured £7,480 ahead of Tour de Touchwood, an endurance fundraising event taking place at Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull, from midday on 17 July, running non-stop for 24 hours with every penny raised going directly towards Cure Leukaemia's pioneering blood cancer research.

The ambitious challenge will see relay teams attempt to cycle the full 3,333-kilometre route of this year's Tour de France on six static bikes over 24 continuous hours.

With every slot now filled, the team is focused on pushing the fundraising total as high as possible before the event gets under way.

The event has attracted the support of a number of leading local businesses, led by headline sponsor Elevate Office Furniture, a provider of modern, high-quality office furniture and tailored workspace solutions.

They are joined by principal sponsors Move Reports, a trusted provider of property search reports, Storetec, specialists in document management and digital transformation, and Halo AML, experts in anti-money laundering compliance solutions and alert alarms.

“Every cyclist and every donation will help make a difference and we cannot wait to get started."

“Every kilometre cycled and every pound raised will help fund life-saving blood cancer research and provide more patients with access to pioneering clinical trials across the UK.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved - those midnight to early morning kilometres are not going to be enjoyable, this is a really tough challenge!"
