Deadline looms to apply for Chamber's Charity of the Year

The deadline is fast approaching for charities from across Solihull to apply to become the Chamber 's next Charity of the Year.

The Solihull Chamber of Commerce chooses one charity every year to support in their fundraising efforts and help spread the word about the incredible work they are doing within the local community.

The Chamber are now searching for applicants to serve as their Charity of the Year for the March 2022 - February 2023 term. The deadline to apply is Friday 21 January.

The next charity will take over from Arrive Alive who are the only registered charity in the UK dedicated to funding voluntary operated Community First Responder vehicles to CFR 's across the UK.

Samantha Frampton (pictured) , head of Solihull Chamber said: "It's really important to us as a Chamber that we are able to support local organisations that are dedicated to supporting the community and giving back to those in need.

"We are so proud to have supported Arrive Alive for the past few years and to have raised vital funds for their life saving vehicles and equipment.

“It 's been an incredibly difficult few years for the charity sector and we are really looking forward to hearing from other organisations in our district and finding our next Charity of the Year. ”

Applicants must be a registered charity as well as a Solihull Chamber member.

Applications must be completed by a charity staff member or trustee only.

The deadline to apply is Friday 21 January 2022 and all application forms should be sent to [email protected]

Successful shortlisted charities will be asked to pitch themselves to the Solihull Chamber executive committee on Monday 7 February 2022.

The successful charity will then be announced at the Solihull Chamber AGM on 18 March 2022.
