Businesses that trade internationally only have until this evening (5pm) to input their views into a survey that will ensure the government is fully aware of the challenges they face.

The British Chambers of Commerce annual International Trade Survey was launched with present political uncertainties in mind. It looks at some of the top challenges currently facing Chamber members: inflation, supply chain disruption, trade with Europe, international trade support and technology and productivity.

The results of the survey will be shared anonymously and directly with UK government ministers and officials, ensuring that any new administration is fully aware of the challenges and opportunities facing businesses around the UK.

Beth Clewes (pictured), insight and intelligence services manager for Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC), urges businesses to take part so that the views of Greater Birmingham businesses are in front of government ministers.

She adds: “It only takes a few minutes to fill out this important survey if your organisation trades internationally. Not only will this provide the British Chambers with valuable intelligence in order to lobby on a national level on our behalf, but we at GBCC will be able to take action to support at a more local level too about the issues that matter most to businesses. So it 's really worth participating. ”
