Hotel du Vin in Birmingham is among 19 UK locations now offering the brand's Corporate Retreat programme, after a successful pilot saw demand take off among businesses wanting to get teams together in person again.

The programme launched at six Hotel du Vin hotels back in March, but has now gone nationwide as more organisations look for a change of scene for strategic planning, leadership development and team building - including at the Birmingham hotel on Church Street.

It taps into a bigger shift happening in business right now. The UK Productivity Gap Index found that 62 per cent of business leaders think AI is actually making face-to-face conversation and alignment more important, not less.

At Hotel du Vin Birmingham, retreats combine dedicated meeting and event space with experiences designed around the city, giving teams somewhere to properly switch off from the day job while still getting things done.

Stephanie Pinto, group director of sales at Hotel du Vin, said: “Since launching the pilot, we've seen a clear recognition among businesses that time spent together needs to be purposeful and impactful.

“As organisations adapt to evolving ways of working, there is growing demand for spaces that enable teams to step away from day-to-day distractions, strengthen relationships and focus on shared objectives.

“The response to the pilot demonstrated a strong appetite for this type of experience, which has given us the confidence to extend the programme across our entire estate.”
